Economics

 

Economics is the study of how we as human beings deal with a scarcity of resources.  Individuals, businesses, and governments make decisions in response to limited resources that has a major impact on the lives of millions of people.

 

In our course students will examine what factors go into the decisions made by individuals, businesses, and governments in response to scarcity.  Students will examine how economic theory and thought drives decisions about economic rights, government systems, basic economic principles, business models and types, investment, product development and advertising, and personal finance will be explored and related to your life.  As a result of taking this course students will develop a basic understanding of the national and world economy and the decisions and forces that drive each system.
